In September 1620, the Mayflower set sail from England. After 66 days, the ship dropped anchor near Cape Code and about 30 days later they landed and began to establish Plymouth. In November 1621, Gov. William Bradford organized a feast in honor of the first successful corn harvest. This was known as the first Thanksgiving.
It wasn’t until 1827 that Sarah Hale tried to get Thanksgiving established as a national holiday. President Abraham Lincoln designated the holiday in 1863.
A holiday based on food and thankfulness is the perfect time for Serendipity to tell its customers thank you. The entire staff is grateful to have served you over the course of a decade, team members look forward to many more years.
